How to overcome sadness

1. Think about things that make you happy
When being sad, you tend to think about the things causing your current mood. Thus, you usually do not care about other meaningful things which makes you happy. Just write down what has brought you happiness so far such as your beloveds, favorite books, funny films, etc. Try to make your list as long as possible.
Post it where you can see it easily; you will realize that there is no need to worry about the sad feelings you are currently experiencing.

2. Hang out with your friends
Going out and having a chat with friends will make you better. You can share your problems with them to relieve your inner pressure. Do something fun together such as watching films, playing favorite sports, having dinner etc. In addition, remember that “a blessing in disguise”; it is also a chance for you to realize your real friends who are always willing to be beside you when you are not in good mood.

3. Get advice from the ones you trust
They can be your parents, friends, neighbors, etc. Talk to the person you think he or she has enough experience in overcoming similar situations in order to get a piece of advice.

4. Have a diary
Having a diary is a good way to overcome sadness. Diary is a close friend who can listen to your problem without any complaints or comments. It understands you most because what you are thinking is written down on it. If you have not found the one you can trust yet, this close friend helps you relieve stress in a moment of sadness.

5. Do physical exercises
This is a good activity to help you stay away from your sadness. Being busy with the activities such as jogging, swimming, etc you do not have time to think about you problems. Take a shower after that and you will feel better. When you have a healthy body, you will for sure have a good mental health. Such activities not only distract you from the sad feelings you are experiencing, but also help you keep fit.
